Celestial Beings (Celetials)

Celestials in Panagala are the beings who dwell in the Celestial Planes rather than the Material Planes. These include The Source, the titans, the gods, angels, cacodemons, and other divine beings. The Source, the titans, and the gods do not walk upon Pangala; angels, demons, etc. are rarely found unless sent by the gods or summoned by sorcerers.

The Source: The Source is a vast and formless energy, conscious and aware. It fashioned the titans Panthos and Galandros to create the universe and all life within. The Source is not directly worshiped and is in fact and unknown entity to all save the Celestials, the elementals, and the sidhe.

Panthos of the of the Darkness: titan; the essence of Darkness, who shared in the creation of the universe and life with Galandros. Panthos dwells in the Lower Celestial and is not directly worshiped. Panthos is known to the elementals, sidhe, sìochäir and fey.

Galandros of the Light: titan, the essence of Light, who shared in the creation of the universe and life with Panthos. Galandros dwells in the Upper Celestial and is not directly worshiped. Panthos is known to the elementals, sidhe, sìochäir and fey.

Panthos and Galandros created the World of Pangala together, as well as the Gods and Goddesses of the Celestial Planes.

Lord Ælandas: Creator of the race of Fey. His domains include the Fey, Solar Energy, Infatuation, Curiosity, Revelry, Music, Drama, Passion, Mischief, Trickery, and Wild Things. He is called by various names: Father of the Fey, The Great Trickster, Father of a Multitude, and The Hidden One.

Lady Ardyserëne: Creator of the Sìochäir. Her domains include The Sìochäir, Nature, Healing, the Arts, Crafting, Young Children, Wild Vines, Wild/Uncultivated Plants, Trees, Springs, Wells, and Magic. She is known as Mesaluriel among the Fey and the Sidhe. She is called Lady of the Wild Things, The Merciful, and Little Star.

Lady Finanna: Creator of the Nymphs. Her domains include Nymphs and Satyrs, Fresh Water, Fountains, Beauty, Gardens, Flowers, Youth, Immortality, Moisture, Gentle Rains, Meadows, Song, and Poetry. She is called Youthful One, Lady of Flowers, The Nightingale, Maker of Everlastingness, Elder Sister, and Most Beautiful.

Lord Gormadoc: Creator of the Kulajana and Gnomes. His domain includes the Kulajana, Gnomes, The Forge, Engineering, Inventions, Sciences, Mechanics, Smithing, Metals, gemstones, Tools, Caverns, and Mountains. He is known as The Great Mountain, Early Walker, and The Golden One.

Lord Hrods: Awakener of the Elementals. His domains include Kentauri, Law, Order, Truth, Life, Justice, Wisdom, Philosophy, Democracy, Politics, Creation, Horses, and Music. He is called All-Father, The Great Horse, Master of Horses, The Great Truth and Light, Sun of the South, Receiver of Light, and Lawgiver.

Lady Imrune: Creator of the Dryads. Her domains include Dryads, Woodlore, Forests and Groves, Hunting, Dancing, Fishing, Healing, Fruitfulness, Orchards, and Song. She is called Sister of the Wild, Guardian of the Woods, Little Sister, and Lady of the Trees.

Lady Kiris: Creator of the Arzshenk. Her domains include The Arzshenk, Cattle, Peace, Wisdom, Woodworking, Agriculture, Husbandry, Farming, Cultivated Lands, and Domestication. She is known as The Great Mother, Mother of All, The Great Horned Cow, and The Heifer.

Lord Quyen: Creator of the Sea-folk. His domains include Deep Water, the Oceans, Sea-dwelling Creatures, Storms, Hurricanes and Typhoons, Earthquakes, Mysteries and the Unknown, Danger, and Floods. He is called The Angry God, Earth-Shaker, God of Waters, and Thunderer.

Lord Raharon: Creator of the Satyrs. His domains include Hedonism, Revelry, Sexuality, Pro-Creation, Reincarnation, Drunkenness, Bees, Distilling, Brewing, Wine, Pleasure, Eloquence, Games, Chance, Butterflies, Grapes, Festivities, Artisans, Story-telling, Seduction, Intoxication, Gambling, Children, Offspring,and Sensual Dance. He is called God of the Vine, Guardian of the Fetus, Great-Grandfather, and The Drunken Lord.

Lady Carennovele: Creator of the Sidhe. Her domains include The Sidhe, The Sìochäir, Women, the moons, sacrifice, Spiders, Strife, War, Wrath, Courage, Curses, Lies, Truth, Victory, Strength, Darkness, Mysteries, Caves, Underground, Silence, and Culture. She is known as Slayer of Enemies, The Dark Lady, and Opener of Ways.

Lady Druimina: Creator of Dragons (with the assistance of Panthos). Her domains include Dragons, Folly, Destruction, Fire, Wealth, Fortune, Theft, Roads and Paths, the Upper Air, Storms, Lightning, and Speech. She is called The Lady by the Sidhe, Dark Mother by the Sìochäir and Fey, and known as The Great Mother among Dragons and Dragonkin.

Lord Gathiel: Creator of the race of The Aigamuxa. His domains include The Aigamuxa, The Aunyaina, Cannibalism, Dreams, Shadows, Nightmares, War, Disease, Famine, and Death. He is known as The Inescapable One, Lord of Eternity, and Slayer of Death. Originally the god of sleep and dreams, Lord Gathiel killed his brother Lord Leax, the god of death to steal his domain.

Lord Iddawg: Creator of the Aunyaina and the Goblins (with Lady Sheneshena). His domains include The Aunyaina, The Goblins, and The Aigamuxa, Theft, Assassination, Poison, Murder, Violent Death, Chaos, Hated, Piracy, Prisons, and Corruption. He is known as The Poisoner, or The Thief.

Lord Leax: Creator of the Giants. Killed by Lord Gathiel, his domains were absorbed by the remaining gods and goddesses. He is known as The One We Do Not Name of The Deceased One. It is taboo to mention his name or to name a child after him.

Lord Nasael: Creator of Languages. His domains include Knowledge, Books, and Tomes, Writing, Language, Governance, Healing, History, Story-Telling, and Alchemy. He is known as The Wise One, The Great Healer, and The Great Teacher.

Lady Senelen: Creator of the Halflings. Her domains include Halflings, Finance, Trade, Travel, History, Bards, Business Transactions, Schools, and Markets. She is known as The Arbiter, The One Who Bargains, Wandering Lady, and Keeper of the Past.

Lady Sheneshena: Creator of the Aunyaina and the Goblins (with Lord Iddawg). Her domains include  the Aunyaina, the Goblins, the Shah-mar, the Night, the Moons, Fortune and Fate, Reptile, Serpents, Toxins, Minor Illnesses, Curses, Arachnids, Trances, and Mastery Over Others (Slavery). She is called The Eyes, The Weaver, The Great Serpent, Watcher of the World, Mistress of the Night, She Who Sees All, and Biting Snake. The two moons represent Sheneshena's eyes.

Lord Uliam: Creator of Humans. His domains include Salt Water, Ships and Boats, Sailing, Whaling, Fishing,  Islands, and Miracles. His is known as the Great Sailor, Fisher-King, and The Captain.[/color]

Angels: Angels are soulless beings who dwell in the Upper and Lower Celestials and serve the gods there. They are not usually seen on the Material Plane, and only when they have been directed to perform some particular task for the god that they serve. Their form is determined by the taste of their deity and the task they must perform. (An angel disguised as an elf is not likely to appear before a clan of orcs to deliver a message, etc.)

Cacodemons: Cacodemons are the angels who remain godless after the death of Leax. They have been abandoned by the other gods and have been left to fade away. However, cacodemons are persistent and struggle to maintain their existence, hungering for souls, and are willing to do most anything to get them. Cacodemons will deal with individuals and certain groups on the Material Planes, but can only do so when summoned. It is possible to create a lasting relationship with a cacodemon, however, it is rarely pleasant to do so. The cost is always one's soul when summoning a cacodemon; once a bargain has been struck, the gods will abandon the individual(s) and not interfere to redeem that soul.

Devils: Devils are demonic overlords, risen from powerful cacodemons. They are the Dukes/Duchesses of the Godless realms of the Lower Celestial. Often in contention with each other (or outright warfare, depending on those involved), devils do not have the time nor inclination to mingle personally in the affairs of those who dwell on the Material Plains. Each devil has a following of cacodemons who serve them and perform their nefarious commands.

Daemons: Daemons are usually the offspring of cacodemons or angels and the various people of the Material Plane (with the exception of the Jinn). Because they are born and bred on the Material Plane, they have souls and therefore cannot be banished. Types of Daemons: Jinn (Jann /Genie, Ifrit, Ghoul, Sila, Marid, and Sila) Incubus, Succubus, Malak, and Hag.

Imps: Imps are the spontaneous animations of shattered souls. They are the remains of souls that have been fed upon by cacodemons and devils. These souls come from those who found themselves in the power of cacodemons, whether through their own actions (by summoning one), or by the actions of others (sacrificed to a cacodemon). The faithless (those who worship no gods) also fall under this category upon death. Imps become a very weak form of daemon, easily summoned and controlled by those on either plane. Imps, like all cacodemons, crave souls to feed upon. Summoning an imp does not require the promise of one's soul for it to do one's bidding, but instead requires a will stronger than that of the imp. Imps often serve powerful sorcerers, demonologists, and necromancers as familiars. They make better familiars than traditional animals of the Material Planes, due to their intelligence and demonic abilities. Imps are able to feed off the soul of their Master/Mistress while the Master/Mistress lives. They are not capable of devouring the entire soul, however, but this does give the imp a chance to grow in power and strength to better serve the sorcerer...and themselves. Sorcerers usually become imps once they die, unless they have bartered their soul to a cacodemon. In this case, the soul becomes devoured completely by the cacodemon and the devil it serves.
