Qian-hua

The largest of the three countries resembles Chinese culture in the main. It is ruled by an emperor and has a large army. Races here are human and dradragonkin, the emperor being of both races. Demonkin also reside here. Demonkin are hunted and hated, as they are in most lands on Pangala. Females are very oppressed in Qian-hua, unless they are of noble blood, or in the militia. Females can be promoted as high as generals in the Qian-hua army and about 2/3 of the armies higher ranks are composed of females.

Yurik

Yurik, to the north of Qian-hua is less than half the size of its neighbor. Its lands are cold and heavily forested mountains. It has a very small population, mainly giants, dragonkin, and some fey. Few humans venture to Yurik and no one rules or claims the land save those few who dwell there. Clans in Yurik tend to trade with Qian-hua, offering quite superior wood, furniture, animal skins, and ice. Demonkin tend to find refuge in Yurik due to its isolated nature.

Zeshin

A chain of islands off the south-west coast of Qian-hua, it is reminiscent of feudal Japan and the Polynesian islands combined. Like Qian-hua, it is a male-dominated society. Humans, dragonkin, fey, and demonkin can be found in abundance here.
