Continent of Kefira

Bashir

The smallest nation on Kefira, it is a north-eastern desert country with a small population. It is mainly a nomadic tribal land, with arzshenk, shah-mar, giants, djinn, humans, and demonkin. There are no large cities, only small villages along the coastlines. There is no true ruler, but in times of crisis, Bashir tends to defer to Jiwani.

Hannon

Hannon and Jiwani are quite similar in their cultures and races. Hannon having once been a part of Jiwani, it branched off and became its own country approximately two-hundred years ago during what has become known as the Arzshenk Wars. Shah-mar, sìochäir, and fey are not generally found in Hannon, but giants, humans, kulajana, and dragonkin can be found mingling with the arzshenk of Hannon. It is a cross-cultural country, mingling Serapion, Sumati, Jiwani, and Bashir traditions and adding in their own as well. Females have nearly the same freedoms in Hannon as they do in Sumati and the land remains as neutral as possible with its neighbors.

Jiwani

The largest of the five countries, Jiwani is central and northern. It is home to demonkin, arzshenk, humans, giants, shah-mar, and djinn. Much of the northern lands are desert and hide many dangers for the unwary. Jiwani culture is rather similar to that of pre-English India. Many of gods are worshiped, polygamy is often practiced, and the ruler is untouchable and rarely seen outside the palace. Music, dance, and herbal healing are considered exceptional in Jiwani. Females have fewer rights than males, fathers acts as lords in their own homes. The shah-mar do not rule here, but they tend to be of the wealthier class and look down upon the other races.

Serapion

A small north- western country, Serapion is all desert. One large river splits the land and vanishes into Jiwani. Serapion has a Pre-Roman Egyptian feel, ruled by shah-mar lords and ladies descended from the Great Serpent. The people are warrior born and bred, warring much with Sumati, and some with Jiwani. The few humans found here are usually slaves of the ruling class. Djinn and demonkin also thrive here. The only god recognized in Serapion is the Great Serpent and Serapion is always quarreling with its neighbors as a result of small invasions to gather slaves. Serapion tends to leave Hannon well enough alone, not wishing to deal with the arzshenk.

Sumati

The second-largest country on the continent, Sumati is akin to African Nations. The humans are dark of hair, eyes, and skin, and tend to be quite tall compared to other humans. It is a country of mystery and intrigue to the rest of the known world as the people tend to be secretive. Populated mainly by nomadic tribes, there is no one ruler, but each clan is lorded over by either a chieftain or chieftainess. Females are of equal stature here, owning property and making political decisions. Faileäs sìochäir are seen at times, but not nearly as much as giants, humans, fey, and kulajana. They are often at war with Serapion who seeks slaves out of Jiwani, Sumati, and Bashir.
